About Double Y Framing

Double Y Framing is a wood-construction company based in Watsonville, CA, run by Sergio Heredia. The business is built around framing — structural walls, roof systems, floor systems — and everything else grew out of that: decks, pergolas, fences, home additions, siding, windows, doors, ADUs, and custom homes.

For its first year, the business ran almost entirely on word-of-mouth — referrals from other contractors, connections through local lumberyard staff, and the kind of reputation that comes from doing the job right the first time. That's still the standard the work gets held to: a straight bid for a fair price, no lowballing to win the job and no padding the number once you've already said yes.

Sergio has been direct about what he won't do: race other bids down to the bottom on price at the expense of the work. Customers who go looking for the cheapest possible number and want to negotiate down from there aren't really who this business is built for — the ones who want the job done right, and are willing to pay a fair price for that, are.
